REACH Social Enterprise (SE) recently held an assessment day for 10 kids at the Blue Dragon Children's Foundation in Hanoi. After spending the summer learning barista skills at a weekly workshop provided by REACH SE, the kids were eager to show off their newfound skills and passion for making delicious drinks.
For those who are unfamiliar with Blue Dragon, they provide education, nutrition, health care, counselling, physical and creative activities, rescue, legal advocacy and safe shelters for vulnerable and marginalised Vietnamese youth. They have also paved the way for authorities and other organisations in their work tracking down and rescuing trafficked Vietnamese girls from China.
Blue Dragon has long been a partner NGO of REACH, referring many clients to REACH over the years for vocational training and job placement services. We'd especially like to thank them for allowing us the opportunity to provide free barista training with these youth. We'd also like to thank our very own REACH Hanoi Food & Beverage Facilitator Ms Ngoc for sparing her time to deliver this training.
