October 2016, MSD hosted an event to recognize CSOs with best practice on transparency and
accountability in Hanoi.
This event has 120
participants from government agencies, international donors and more than 100
CSOs from 23 cities and provinces of Vietnam. This is considered as one of the
biggest events of Vietnamese CSOs. This event is part of “Inspriring CSOs” program
implemented by Management and Sustainable Development Center (MSD) funded by Iris AIDS. Event theme for
2016 is “CSO image in practicing good transparency and accountability –
Brightening Vietnamese CSOs”.
In this event, REACH
has been recognized as one of 12 organizations with outstanding transparency
and accountability practice in Vietnam. REACH has been very active in
restructuring organization, implement transparency and accountability practices
as working habit, value and culture of the organization, making REACH be a role model that motivates and inspires development partners, government agencies, donors and other
stakeholders in implementing these good practices.
In addition to that, in
this event REACH was awarded as the CSO with most impressive development in
Vietnam. REACH has developed tremendously in the past few years with the
operation in 5 provinces, 9 training areas, more than 50 permanent staff and
network of more than 1000 businesses. REACH has supported more than 13,000
disadvantaged youth since 2004 and now more than 1,100 annually.
